| How to install an app on your Commodore 64 - Anil Dash, It’s time to install an app! But here in 1986, we still call them “programs,” not apps. So, you’ll want to set aside some time to get started installing a program. Since you have a Commodore 64, there are really only two options for getting new programs this month: COMPUTE!’s Gazette and RUN, and you have to hope that one of those magazines isn’t sold out at the book store. So let’s get going. (en Tecnología)

| Why You Should Spend More Time in Graveyards, Unless for the express purpose of visiting a loved one’s grave, most people avoid spending time in cemeteries. They seem like gloomy, spooky, haunted places, the kind of place where, if you’ve learned anything from cinema, you’re most likely to encounter an unfriendly ghost, demon, or bogeyman. You may have only glimpsed graveyards as you’ve […] (en Social)

| Bob Gale — The Stunt List, With the recent 40th anniversary of 1985’s BACK TO THE FUTURE, and just in time for BACK TO THE FUTURE DAY (October 21st), The Stunt List is proud to be the exclusive new home for an alternate version of BACK TO THE FUTURE PART 2 from special guest, Oscar-nominee Bob Gale, co-writer of the original trilogy with Robert Zemeckis. The story still begins in 2015 (with lots of differences) and they obtain the Sports Almanac, but they never return to 1955, and instead spend the rest of the movie in 1967. (en Cine)

| Mark Their Words: Medieval Bookmarks, When talking about manuscripts with the uninitiated, I usually mention how features that guide us through our modern books – running titles, subheadings, and indices, for example – originated in the Middle Ages. Yet, I tend to overlook bookmarks (despite my childhood collection of them) as a sort of ‘separate apparatus’. Bookmarks, however, also have an interesting medieval past!

| The ASUS + LG Nightmare Scenario, We estimate 25,000,000 to 35,000,000 ASUS routers -- nearly every modern router the company has sold since 2018 -- are affected by vulnerabilities discovered by security researcher Mr Bruh. Working with Mr Bruh, we've exploit chained the ASUS vulnerability into the unpatched LG TV remote code execution vulnerabilities, enabling us to breach and take over an ASUS router to then tunnel into a TV and convert it into a listening device. This could be easily done, for example, from an office lobby, cafe, or business with available WiFi networks or open wall sockets. Likewise, you could chain in from a more remote position by exploiting other device vulnerabilities. ASUS' response was lackluster, as it often is, and the company requested an extension on its fixes.
